We've got some handsome celebs and some beautiful actresses hitting our screens this month, along with a great selection of new K-Dramas, whose themes will include historical, time travel, romance, and sci-fi action. 1. Lovely Runner 

Lovely Runner is also known as Time Walking on Memory. and is adapted from the web novel, The Best of Tomorrow. It's a music-infused romantic comedy with a twist of fantasy. Lovely Runner has been getting a lot of attention, even before its release. 


Our male lead is a top star, but due to the nature of the industry, will find him quite exhausted. And our female lead has been his long-time admirer, as his music carried her through after an accident stopped her from reaching her dreams. 


However, she is shocked to discover that he tragically passed away. But with a bit of time travel, she'll find herself 15 years in the past. She'll connect with our male lead as she's presented with an opportunity to change the events of the future. And maybe things will turn out for the better this time. The drama stars Byeon Woo Seok, Kim Hye Yoon, and Lee Seung Hyub. 




2. Blood Free 

A drama with thrills and sci-fi vibes with a large focus on biotechnology and genetic engineering. For centuries and centuries, people have eaten the meat of animals, but now genetically engineered meat is the main and dominating source. 


Could some questionable decisions or practices might lead others to have doubts about the product maybe even the CEO of BF? 


One of our leads is a bodyguard whose past military experience will be useful and the drama will follow multiple main characters and incorporate themes of AI, suspense, and whether innovation always results in success or if the result could be catastrophic failure. The drama stars Ju Ji Hoon, Han Hyo Joo, and Lee Hee Joon. 




3. Parasite the Gray

With phenomenal promo posters, this highly anticipated drama is based on the hit sci-fi action and horror manga. There was also an anime series, Parasite the Maxim. Parasites fall to Earth and take over human hosts. 


In Parasite the Gray, something similar will occur. As parasitic rainwater falls, the parasites will infect their hosts and try to take over their brains. Our female lead will realize she has a parasite that failed to take control of her brain. And the two will have to live together, a cohabitation of her body, and with the changing circumstances of the world around them. 


We have a couple other leading characters, one who is trying to find his sister and another who is a part of the parasite investigative team, which will follow the horror and devastation left behind by those infected. Jeon So Nee and Koo Kyo Hwan will star in the leading roles in this Netflix survival drama. 




4. Chief Inspector: The Begining

This drama will circle back to the original Chief Inspector where the story follows Park Young Han before his position as a Chief Inspector really began. 


Set in the 1960s and about a decade before the original drama's airing, new and familiar viewers will get a close look at some well-established characters through the slice of life at a police department, co-worker relationships, and possibly new cases as our detectives enhance their abilities. 


Chief Inspector: The Beginning is a mystery detective fiction that has a great deal of depth, not to mention those well-written characters. 


Fun Fact: The original Chief Inspector drama aired from 1971 to 1989 and had over 880 episodes during its original airing. 


No doubt, long-term fans of the series will be excited to see this drama. The drama stars Lee Je Hoon, Lee Dong Hui and Choi Woo Sung.

5. Missing Crown Prince 

Get ready for a Joseon-era set rom-com historical. Our leads seem destined to be together, but in a twist of events, our female lead, set to marry the crown prince, ends up somewhat kidnapping him instead. 


While on the run, they'll face new experiences and moments together. A spark of romance will blossom into something more. And if you like love triangles, then you're sure to love this drama. 


Our leads will share an undeniable chemistry, as portrayed by Suho and Hong Ye Ji. Also starring among the main cast, we have Myung Sae Bin and Kim Min Kyu along with a full lineup and a strong supportive cast. 




6. The Brave Yong Soo Jung

An MBC daily drama that will be airing Monday to Friday and boasting 120 episodes, the drama will bring us romance and business and likely some melodramatics, with an underlying concept of succeeding in business by winning the hearts of the people. 


The story will be of our female lead, whose goal to succeed in business will cross paths with our male lead, and he'll come to realize that he might have a connection to a prominent and wealthy family. Our female lead will be played by Uhm Hyun Kyung. 


This appears to be her comeback drama as she was away for a short time. Her last daily dramas included 2021's. The actress gave birth to a son in 2023. Our male lead will be played by Seo Joon Young, who has been cast in supporting and main roles. He also starred as leading characters in other daily dramas.
